Pissed Adventure brakes

Anyone with experience changing their Brembo brake pads on the 990? I'm giving it a whirl and right off the bat it's already a right PITA. Mine are clearly a slightly different model piston than the one in the manual. The pin holding the pads at the bottom is a different design and I can't even see how to remove it from the piston. It won't move in either direction.

Insult to injury - now that I have the pads halfway out I can't reseat them so even if I wanted to I can't ride it anywhere to have the local shop do it. Grrrr.

You've got to take a punch and hammer the pin out...it's got a weird compression flange on the pin that keeps the pin in place. Took me a while as well then got pissed and whacked it. Came right out.

Yup, and to get it back in i used a pair of pliers. 1 end on the caliper and the other end on the pin, then squeeze!
