I am running one on my 2007 990. Very happy with the performance, price and access I now have.

My 990 plate will fit fine. IIRC, the early R models used the SE tank and seat which conflicted with the rear top edge of the standard JC30-65. For that reason, we have ITG manufacture a domed version, a little taller and narrower to better fit in the space.

I believe that your '11will bolt right up however, without the need for either using the domed filter or modifying the seat pan to fit. I don't have a SMR handy here to verify that so.... I can send you one and if it doesn't fit, no biggie. I will take it back. I'm pretty sure it will clear, though.

Thanks

Hi,
Is there an over sock filter for the dome version for a 990 adv?
I'm ready to pull the trigger.

Ohhh and what about the new items that are coming up soon?

No, the over sock won't fit onto the dome filter. Some customers are running filter skins with these. Also it is possible to fit the standard filter on the SE but it requires some modification to the seat pan to do so...another alternative.

OK, I was asking for 990adv. So it might just be better to stick with the standard size filter then and have a pre filter on it. Skin filter clog up too quickly for my long hauls.

Do you have an update on the quick release and other new items you're soon releasing?
Thanks again

Order sent. I'd like a quick release glove box with it but I am not sure if they are available. If they are, I'd like to add one to the order if possible.
Thanks!

Finally got around to installing the filter on my SDR.

Really makes a difference in the mid range and is certainly the biggest HP to $ mod I have ever done. It also makes maintenance and access to the throttle bodies very easy.

The only down side is that the filter is hard to clean and oil since the plastic cage is an integral part of the filter. It's not like my 530 filter that I can fully submerge in oil or cleaner and then squeeze. On this filter you really have to massage the oil into the nooks and crannies w/ your finger tips.

Here are a few instal pics.

Gaskets on top of throttle bodies:

Air meter installed on base plate:

Velocity stacks on base plate. I ended up ordering a set of RC-8 velocity stacks. They are shorter and let more air in.

Filter installed:
