There is so much to see in B.C. the Yukon and Alaska, its easy to spend a month in Alaska alone! Start a thread in the Alaska section ,they are very helpful and can give you many ideas. June is the perfect month for Alaska as the rains usually hold off more than July. Talk to you when you arrive in Calgary.

There is the D2D (Dusk 2 Dawson)in the Dawson, Yukon, really just a weekend camping outing but kind of neat, never been there. There are treads here and elsewhere about it. There is 24 hour sunlight that time of year up there.

He mentioned a while back that he would be my way around the 20th... Today was the first wet day in a while around here and were supposed to get a few more...The long range shows the sun coming back for next weekend so hopefully he can make it then while I have the long weekend off of work...

I thimk he will be at least two days in Van, as he needs to do tires.
Great guy with lots of desire to see all he can. He is a chocolatier and baker by trade. Really knows his stuff.

I have a neighbor that is a chocolate maker by trade, once in a while he drops off a few samples...

He should take his time in Van as the long range weather for the mid /upper Island doesn't show improvement until Thursday...

Hi mike,

No the rain didn't held of. It started in pemberton.
Man it was cold up in the mountains. Was soaking wet when i arrived in vancouver. It was a long drive, got there at 9. Only stopt to fill up.
But the roads where great! Thanks for talking me in to doing that road and your help.
Say hello to the wife and son.

Hey you are welcome, anytime. I did underestimate the time, apologies.
The mighty KLR is gentle on the road surface. Glad you enjoyed it though.
Any pictures?

Nope, all day yesterday was nice here and today too for half a day until the showers started again just after lunch... My plan will be to ride down and meet the guys in Sayward on Thursday evening and do a few days of riding, camping and BS... If things fall into place, the timings work and the weather is good, it should be a good outing...
