"Southbay" area?

Anyone else in Southbay?
Seems like most of YFF's are out in the desert, where I'd rather be...
Just thought I would see if anyone else is trapped in the city.

I forgot to mention I'm in Torrance myself.

I'm new to street/"dual sport" riding, on a DR200SE I picked up for cheap.
It's pretty fun for around town but in a few months I'd like to get something Orange with a lot more power, or at least 450CC - lots of cheap stuff in the flea market is catching my eye.

Rode dirt bikes when I was real little, and got out a few times in 2011 but I've never really been able to explore much of CA as I lived in WA off an on.
Working out here now so I really want to get out to places like Rowher before it's all paved over.

Hearing from my dad and other people, back in the 70's Torrance was a lot cooler, could ride your mini bike all over the place and nobody cared.
Now-a-days you'd be thrown in jail for what was common then.

I live in Long Beach. Commute to Torrance daily on my BMW, been doing it for over 30 years now. I grew up in Torrance during the late 50's and graduated from high school in 1972 and it was a great place to grow up. I remember lots of places to ride dirt bikes and mini bikes right in my own neighborhood. It's all gone now and the traffic is horible.
I mostly ride street bikes now but on occasions I blow the dust off my old TT500 and get the tires dirty.

Cool.
Maybe a southbay ride could be arranged?
Everyone else has had at least one ride...
