You only use armorall on the pillion section of a seat if you are taking a new girlfriend for a ride! Although this was in a previous life

All ways pack your tent so it can be put on last.

That way you can pack the rest of your gear while sitting in the tent.

If it's so cold out that you need to stay in your tent to take a dump, for fuck sake do it last as you're packing up, NOT before you go to bed.

It, ummm ... is a lesson you only need to learn once.

A less ... churning one, is to keep your boots in a plastic bag inside your swag/tent while you sleep. It sounds uncomfortable but it's a LOT more pleasant than finding a scorpion has taken up residence in your Alpine Stars over night. There's other options, but I found this handy.

I'm going to use this.

My tip from todays ride. Don't just assume a remote corner of the state with 100km of rugged beautiful coastline is free to access and worth the slab ride for a look.

Little tip that can help engine longevity, for those so inclined.
Many folk run inline fuel filters, which is usually a good thing. If you want a little more then get yourself some little rare earth magnets and attach one to the inlet side of the filter with Araldite or some other strong adhesive.
The magnet won't do magic things to your fuel, this isn't some tin-foil-hat fuel saving gadget, it will just catch any ferrous metal particles that are small enough to get through the intake screen in your tank and hold them in the filter where they can't accelerate wear in your carbs or bores. When it's time to toss the filter you can just break off the magnet and use it again. It's the same idea as using a magnetic drain plug, just with fuel instead of oil.
