Every thread should be assembled 'wet' with grease, oil, antiseize, or Loctite.

When a crashing is unavoidable - look for a better place to crash.

Actually Unc that's a really good tip for young players,

Not sure if it was Ugly Dave, but it was the catch cry of a particular discount shop ... have to dig to find which one.

Nice wheel balancing stand. Very nice.

edit: I think it might have been Tuckerbag supermarkets.
edit2: David Holdings wholesales, but I remember it being used by Shoeys and Tuckerbag supermarkets.

+1

+ turn your head; use your neck; point your nose at the exit of the turn; your eyes and your neck can work independently.
Don't just keep your head pointed parallel with the bike & move your eyes - as soon as something goes wrong you'll bring your eyes to centre and go straight ahead.

Yeah, but it would've been prudent to go back to standard first.

Torpedo 7 does these, and routinely on special at Unc's quoted price.

http://www.torpedo7.com.au/products/...wheel-balancer

Not bad at the normal price either.

I got one a year or more ago on special to replace my welded up one made from an old swingarm and subframe off my scrap heap. By the time you get 4 low friction bearings and an axle, $90 is a bargain. It also doubles as a wheel building jig which is handy for wheel building.

These type of wheel weights are useful:
