Cool2 Europe Trip

Hi everyone I'm new to the page and planning a European Asian Trip for the next couple of years. Planning to start in UK buy a bike and would love to hear from other people who've travelled around Europe.

If you get a bike in the UK. And get insurance here. You will only be covered for EU country's. As you say you are interested in going to Asia. Can I guess that you could be thinking of riding back to Oz.

Now once saying that, how long have you got. I see the word's a couple of year's. Is that how long you have, or when you hope to start? Europe is a big place. EU I should guess is a little bigger than Australia. The difference is there's not any great big empty space's in Europe. And there is a lot to see.

More information will get you better response.

John, Australia is a lot bigger than Europe* but, as you say, there's an awful lot of emptiness in Oz.

DILLIGAFFF, one bit of advice I give to everyone who travels Europe is to learn some of the languages of the places you are visiting. German, French, Spanish and Italian at the very least. I don't mean be fluent but know at least the basics. Numbers, directions, food and drink should be enough. Many Europeans speak English (especially in the cities) but prefer you to at least try and speak their language. Don't be an ignorant traveller

I was thinking about that as well. If you have another look you will see that, that they have not put in Norway, Sweden or Finland. All big land mass country's. So I'll still stick to what I said before.

But Norway, Sweden and Finland are Scandinavia and not Europe.

I did but I'm a Yorkshireman and we don't admit we're wrong. Remember the 2 rules.

1) A Yorkshireman is always correct.
2) If a Yorkshireman is wrong, rule 1 applies

My ex father in law was a Yorkshireman. Talking about back of the que when it came to putting hand in pocket. I swear he still had pound note's in his wallet with the King's head on them.

True, especially that the map posted earlier lacks also Ukrain, Belarus, Baltic countries, Finland and a quite a bit of Russia.

DILLIGAFFF, at least give us direction in whitch you want to drive. Quite a few things to see around here.

Haha, no, it's not Asia. Asia starts on the line of Ural mountains so quite a bit into Russia.

Scandinavia is next year on my ride list: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland. July/August for best weather?
