Sounds fantastic. I'm interested.
Just got equipped with a V-strom myself, and getting some knobby tires this weekend. Looking forward to some rides like this.

BC Big Adventure Ride ~ Side rides

I have opened up another thread for those interested in making a larger adventure out of this well planned event. The main idea is to keep this thread on focus, but allow those wanting a longer event to meet up with like minded. You could leave a reminder here of new ideas on the Side Ride thread.

See http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...1#post21055371

Those wanting to offer ideas & meet up can use this chat without overloading the primary page. Registations & overall planning to be on the original site: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=871033

First side ride on the side list is a leg from Horseshoe Bay into Goldbridge to explore there a couple of days. Fishing is also part of my interest if anyone else cares to consider it. Some of us will be coming from Vancouver Island & this locale has proven a good option to meet up. So far from the Island, intertested partners are:

Me too! Even with unloading gear at Harrison Hot Springs, I was still too heavy to do some of the more technical sections (leaving Big Bar ferry). Got to leave more ballast behind for the day's ride.

Thanks for signing up but who let all the noobs in?

(I keed, I keed, we were all noobs once.)

I won't do a training day, but if people want to tag along while I'm doing a recon ride. I can drop a few hints. Just PM me if you want to tag along.

Mike

Ah grasshopper, you fail to understand. It is not a matter of who to beat, it is a matter of learning how to conquer both the trail, the yang, and your own self doubt, the yin. This way the energies are in balance, allowing it to flow in harmony, which then allows you to master the ride. [/bruce lee voice]

Hey Mike and FishnBiker
Thanks for coming forward and setting up another epic BC ride.. I missed last year as I was too anxious to get to Central and South America. Sitting in Cartagena waiting for a boat to Cuba, and knowing that the best rides in the world are in my own Beautiful B.C, I will not make that mistake again this September.

These rides better prepared me for riding down here, and I am very grateful to those organizers in the past who dedicated time, energy, and money to ensuring challenges and comradeship.

Watch for my ride report on Cuba....
