How long is a KLR650 ? ?

I am hoping to pick up a 2002 KLR 650 in the next couple days.

Here is my question :

How long is it from the front of the front tire to the rear axle?

Need to know if it will fit in my brothers truck (micro bed Toyota)?

You know what I mean if the front tire is up against the headboard / front of truck bed , how long is it to where the rear tire touches the ground.

Thanks guys! If all goes well there will be a KLR in the stable and a bunch of pain in the ass questions from me on here , isn't that GREAT !!

Thanks ALL !!

Not sure if this helps - It's been a couple years, but IIRC in my Tacoma XtraCab with a 6ft bed I could just barely close the tailgate with my KLR sitting diagonally.

Edited to add: Wheelbase is spec'd at ~60" + half the diameter of the front wheel (10.5") + tire thickness (~3.5") = 74" from front edge to rear axle, standing straight up and down with the bars straight. When you crank the bars to one side you save yourself a few inches.

You know it's a slow day at work when I take the time to look all this stuff up...

Wheelbase is 58 inches, add on about 15" for half the front wheel and you've got 73"

I haul my KLR in my Nissan short bed all the time, I leave the tailgate down though. Back tire barely sits on the bed, but not the tailgate ...

Well I am driving an hour and a half to see / buy it. I won't have the option to get it registered before hand. I would ride it home otherwise.
I have been riding my Ural all winter , just sold it go back 2 wheeling again.

Thanks Guys !!
