Best Ashland to Brookings Route

Anyone have a good, as much dirt as possible, route from Ashland (or even further east, i.e., Klamath Falls) to the coast?

What time of year?
I doubt any of the secondary roads will open for a couple of months
In the summer I would take the dirt road out of Ashland that goes up to the ski area then South down the ridge towards happy camp and Said valley area then over to Obrian Then either head towards Agnes or Patricks creek
There are dozens of options
From K falls The road along the klamath that starts at topsey resevoir and comes out at Klamathon is a nice ride

Thanks. I didn't realize you could go South into California there and make it West that far. I typically try to stay on the Oregon side, but will check out the California options.

Its been a few years since I was there but do they still have that little diner in Seiad, it was on the right side if you were heading towards Happy Camp?

Yes, they do have that restaurant in Seiad, they have a giant pancake challenge there. And a shittly little store where you nearly fall through the floor boards and the shelves are mostly bare. The road you are looking for is the 20 (Starts at Mt.Ashland and goes to Upper Applegate rd at Beaver Creek) then up past the dam to road 1055 over Cook and Green pass, but you can't do that till May at least. NO way you can do it yet. That's my stomping grounds and I keep a close eye on them, but maybe mid to late may.

Once you get to seid you will be on Pavement though for a bit, but not long, you can get to the coast over the hills from there.

Love me that Bigfoot country.
