Klr 600 doohickey rebuild
The sound coming from the left side was loud. Upon aquiring in here about what could be wrong with the bike, SkiBumBrian reached out to me and offered his knowledge. He also got me started with Eagle Mike who is a real gentleman. Prior to getting into the thick of taking the KLR apart Brian offered to send me the tools needed for the job, mind you I live in NJ and Brian in CA. Having received Brians tools and Eagle Mikes upgrade I got down to business. What I found was the original spring had been replaced and had minimal tension. The real problem was with whoever did this job before me. When they put it back together, they did not line up the balancers correctly, thus causing the vibration. I pulled the balancers off and realigned the chain and balancers per the manual with direction from Brian.. I applied the upgrade, put it back together and fired her up. Problem solved. Now onto replacing the water pump seals. Thanks again SkiBumBrian!!!!
