Mikuni BST40-255 substitute?

Ok my first post. I have a 2000 KTM lc4 640-e that I bought new. Question is will a carb like a Mikuni BST40-266 be used instead of my stock BST40-255. The original carb is cracked open and I can't seem to find another BST40-255. Anyone know if the BST40-266 would be a drop-in replacement, or any other carbs that will plug-n-play on my bike. The cycle has been sitting for 2-years now just waiting for me to get off my rear and fix it. Thank You Russ in Indiana
