I posted in the Orange Crush area. Now power when on thottle, got to a point where I could not get more than the thottle barley open before it would start chugging and drop power. Suspect bad fuel on the Dalton at the Yukon river, however other riders had no issues. Fresh fuel and and cleaner did not help.

I am hoping that they bring a guy in the shop today or tomorrow, but that is just wishful thinking at this time.

Sounds like what happened to my old 88 XR600 once. Ended up my choke was on Flipped it off and smoothed right out, go figure. Sounds like it's fuel related, but could be a bad stator or related components. Hope they get it sorted out for ya quick.

Are you able to pull an injector, and get visual on spray pattern ?
try to backflush fuel filter ?
What have you tried/ checked so far ?
Are you able to source this exact product:
BERRYMAN'S Chemtool B-12 Fuel Treatmentm ? absolute MAGIC, has MEK,Acetone,Xylene, Toluene, and several other very fucking nasty solvents, and it WILL dissolve, and flush things the others will not.
Ya might try a 16 ounce Techron plus a 15 ounce dose of Chemtool B12, pull the fuel line loose, and see what kind of delivery you have from fuel pump, then reconnect, and try to get it to idle some of that solvent through the system. might get lucky.
Another thing to try, disconnect and reconnect the TPS sensor ( see if it is loose while you're at it ) and MAP, if equipped.
What do spark plugs look like ?
sooty black or bleached bone white ?
.
Tell us what you've done so far.. might be field repairable.

I went to Deadhorse on a KTM950Adv and several of the other riders had BM's. The KTM ran progressively worse all the way back from Deadhorse but none of the BM's seemed to have any trouble.

I chocked it up to bogus fuel on the slope that the lower compression and less finicky engines didn't mind but the big katoom hated. My problem went away when I put fresh fuel in the tank.

I recollect the problem went away when you removed the melted chain guard
that got sucked into the sprockets.

That bike loved drama!

...and as I recall I was the guy laying on my back in the mud and you and Heli actually yanked the munched parts out. Still sucked to ride though as the motor wasn't firing completely right.

Might not have been fuel because I suck as a mechanic... but the sparks were still there and we all had the same air. Even though I don't actually know what the problem was that won't stop me from being an expert on this and many other subjects I don't understand. It's a comfortable place for me.

Good seeing you at lunch.

I'd blame it on KTM.

Maybe not enough hooch. Hey, if you owned a KTM you'd drink too. Heavily.

Clean and tighten the battery connections, loose connections cause strange problems.

UPDATE - FIXED
The fuel looked a little off color (I did have octane boost in it) but smelled correct. Some small sand particles in tank and a little plastic shavings, but the sock was black instead of white and had a some sorty of Gooey substance that was clear to white in color. Flushed the tank, cleaned the filter and pump the best they could. Did 200 miles today and road her hard and not one issue. Big SUPER THANK YOU to Northern Power Sports' Douge for coming in on his day off. Going to mail him a gift when I get home!
