WTB my 99 KTM 620SX back, HELP!

I sold this bike back in around 2001-02 and regretted it the very same day. Sold from NJ to a guy from New Hampshire IIRC, it was a 199 620SX in excellent condition. Not sold as street legal but that has probable changed by now. If anyone knows who owns it now please steer them my way. I tried this a few years ago with no luck. Hoping to get her back and race it again.

Thanks!

Looked exactly like this!

I hope you find it....and that is in acceptable condition for your return meeting to go thru life together.

I too did something like this with a 1986 VF1000R, absolutely beautiful bike.
Regretted it that day back in 1998.
Couldn't get over it for years.
Finally found her 3 years later......what an uncaring group of bike owners she
had fallen prey to. Wasn't worth hardly anything, let alone to what they were asking.
Just looking at the bike nearly made me cry.

Lesson Learned:
do not......DO NOT ever sell a motorcycle that puts a lump in your throat or a tear in your eye.
build a bigger garage, make the wife an ex, get a better paying job

but do not give up any bike that affects you like that.......it just will not end nicely, nor work out in the long run.

New adventures can always be had, but you will always regret saying those 2 words:
.....I Shoulda'

I feel your pain!
I sold my 1985 VF1000R in 2005.
I bought it new.
It was not super fast and quit heavy but it stirred my soul like no other bike I have owned except my 1980 Ducati 900 Darmah.
I sold the Darmah in 2006.
I want both back!
I will not sell another.

620

Free bump.

I had a '98 RXCe620 for about six years and sold it in 2008. It was my 2nd 620 and 5th Lc4. Something about Lc4's keeps me coming back. The bike went thru 3 owners after I sold it and I found it mid summer 2012 on Craigslist 50 miles from me. It need quite a bit of work as all the lights had been stripped off it, (used as a dirtbike) and it'll never be as clean as when i sold it, but it's back together now tagged and titled and burning up the backroads again. Yeah, certain bikes you should hold onto at any cost, well just about anyway. Good luck in your search. A 620 SX like the one in the pic is rare as hens teeth.

I was told 5 came to the USA that weren't planned as the RFS was being released. I almost tripped over it at the showroom in the box and asked what it was. They bolted it together while I waited. It had its oddities, the kicker broke in 2 a few times, carb would blow off the manifold now and then but man, it was super easy to ride fast on a MX track.

98 620 Rxc was my first motorcycle. It's in my basement in boxes waiting on the day I rebuild it. I've also owned 3 lc4's. They are fun bikes very unique. Hope you find it.

Yep, I made the mistake of selling my CBX to a guy near Pittsburg. About 9 month later I called him and he had sold it to someone in New Jersey. I got the dudes name and wrote him a letter, but never heard anything. If any inmate has a CBX in New Jersey shoot me a pm as I want it back.

Feel like I'm ready a Craigslist Missed connections post. Best of luck guys... I know where the bike I miss is, but it's got a good home, and I am the first to be contacted if it is to be sold.

I know the feeling, only twice the heartache.

I had a pair of 2004 KTMs.

The first 250exc that was plated in VT and happened to be the bike I could imagine myself going the fastest on in the woods, best dirt bike I have ever owned.

The second was a 450mxc that I brought home and disassembled before riding & didnt ride until she was the most beautiful supermoto street creation I have ever seen.

Both lived with me for a few of the happiest years of our lives & both were threatened by local LEO to be impounded, both were disassembled by my brother & sold for parts, I was too heartbroken to do it myself.

In hindsight the 3 of us should have packed into my miata and moved far far away....

If anyone sees any of my old RFS parts please tell them i miss them and want them to come home

No better reason to go on a ride needed! Oh, drive? Still a good reason.

Thanks.
