There is that shortcut again, you have to realize, the drop offs on the outside is at least 2000', so 10' road with golf, baseball, and softball rocks and a 2000' drop, my arms are still sore, I need a Scotts damper, after about 3 days I remembered this is the first long ride and first time offroad for me on this new to me '96 DR.

Another shot of the road, when it's bad you can't stop and take pictures, but you learn not to look over the edge, just point straight ahead, we came across a guy, lying on the mountain side with his legs out in the inland 2 track, Burt swerved to miss, I followed suit, and then we stopped, was that guy sleeping or dead? No pictures, We arrived in Urique. We passed 7 riders heading for Batopilas, did you guy's make it? Do a RR, I want to know how you guys did

Cool old buildings, I can't believe that most of these towns were here before America was colonized, they look it and I like it, it gives you a sense of history, like in Batopilas, the overseer of the mine was an American on 2 occasions and lived in a huge manision now a relic, this was back in the 1600-1700 hundreds, amazing history.

I ran out of bottled water that night and took a chance on the new, modern plumbing.....poured a glass out of the spout........and hit it with the SteriPen.....clear, cold water that didn't seem to mess with my innards......and that's a good thing.......

Of course, tequila is also an answer........
