I don't know if anyone has but I really don't recommend it! The tank was designed for use with the F twin GS bikes only.
I do plan on making something for the G650 GS single in the near future but do not have an ETA at this time.

Cory, any update on the fitment with HT rack and hard bags? I'll still volunteer if the other "guinea pig" is slacking. Dick

The flat mounting tab of the HT rear cross brace contacts the CT-V2 tank but the cross brace tube clears. With the CT-A tank the tab clears but the tube hits.

The easiest work around is to use the CT-A tank and bend the HT cross bar from its original "V" shape and more into a "U" so the tube clears the back corner of the tank. I've got several customers that have done this and have commented that it's simple job.

I was the guinea pig for the V2 tank with happy trails.

As Cory wrote, the "tabs" that connect the "V" tube brace o the pannier rack makes contact with the tank. I was afraid it might punch the tank in a hard get-off on that side.

My solution was to use my cut-off wheel to remove the inner portion of the tabs and re-locate the bolts to the outside of the tabs closer to the panniers. It works fine, but I agree with Cory that the other tank probably is an easier install.

However, nothing but good things to say about the quality of the tank and the bits used to attach it. (But I would like for the gas cap to have some type of safety chain.)

Happy Trail Soft Luggage (SL) Rack

Seems like this will fit fine, as it does not have the brace that connects to the license plate bracket, and no tabs to connect the various hard bags. Is this correct Cory?

I'm hoping the V2 works best. Of course, I'd be pleased to be a test case.

Sorry for the delay replying. I was at the Touratech Rally in Washington and didn't have an internet connection for a few days.

I haven't seen the Happy Trail SL system in person but based on the pics I've seen, the CT-A or CT-V2 should work just fine. Both are 7L capacity, the "A" being longer and narrower and the "V2" being shorter and fatter.

Waiting for a CT-V2! Can't wait to get the extra range! Are you going to be re-stocked by the 31st of July? I have an '11 with swmotech rack.
