Can't ride my KE, yet, but I went and bought a motorcycle carrier to carry it around on my cross country driving adventures.

Once the KE is running correctly and legal, it will make an excellent dingy/trail scout. Attached the carrier to my Astro, loaded up the bike and went bombing down a local gravel road a couple times. The extra weight off the rear didn't effect driving or mileage at all.

Wellt hats a step in the right direction... Unfortunately im not sure i will be able to get out there saturday to look at it, tax time has my funds for gas/fun money almost nonexistant...although it looks like the leaf river D/S ride may get rained out and i may be able to make the rain date next saturday, you could come out to that and hang out....would be a blast...

You need a fresh pilot jet of the stock size as yours is likely plugged. Your main jet is the right size and has nothing to do with making the bike take off from a standing start or running on low end.If you have not already done so, change that old float needle as well and the holder if it is removable . Try Sudco or BikeBandit. The KE series bikes should not have problems staying running at take off! Have you pressure pumped this engine to see if it is leaking at the crank seals or top end?I hope you kept the AutoLube too....

Another cause may be the floats are filling with gas and not floating anymore. Take it out and shake it. If you hear liquid sloshing its bad.

I would agree with a new pilot jet, or clean out the one you have with a VERY small piece of wire... That worked for me on my honda 75's pilot jet...
