140 miles of Arizona Bliss to Yarnell

Here is my first real Day Trippin Tread. Today I did 140 miles on my KTM640E with some Farkles. My trip took me from Sun City Arizona to Yarnell via some back roads. Enjoy.

Day started out with a trip the auto parts store for a tail light bulb.

The auto parts store of choice (it was close by).

Exactly what the sign says...for 1 mile.

Who's a pretty boy?

Ahhhh!

Looking forwards back!

In between Suprise and Mile Markers.

It looked better in person.

Another view from the cockpit.

Scenic Rd...and it was.

Looking fat in a photo!

My better angle!

Ahhhh 2.0

Ahhhh 2.1

Once again...looked better in person.

Trusty stead (so far) just above Box Canyon

Another angle above Box Canyon.

Box Canyon 1.0

Box Canyon 2.0. You could hear a lot of bees...moved 1/4 mile and still a lot of bees. Did not stick around to find out if they were killer!

Me and Box Canyon soon before I headed back up the hill.

Found this spot for a KTM photo Opt.

Photo Opt. 2.0

To be continued...

Center stands suck when you have to open and close gates.

And I did!

It just felt like a good time to take a picture (gate crossing or opening).

State funds have been diverted from the sign department.

PSA

Once again...again...looked better in person.

Once again...again...looked better in person. 2.0

It is funny that I took all this time to end up here, when I could of been taking care of my responsibilities at home...GO ADV!!!

Just under 5000 ft...this will be a summer time destination to beat the heat.

Last time I rode this road, I was on my Big Dog Chopper with Carl and Todd in 2005.

Another shot of the look out point to "Heat".

After the last picture I headed home in time to pick my daughter up from school.

It's all good as long as you got your daughter on time. Nice ride!

Thanks, and I had time to lounge on the couch for a little before pick up.

This is a great ride! I love to shoot up to Yarnell or even Prescott when the head builds! Thanks for taking us with you!

Nice report... (pix size)?
Looks like you avoided the deep sand below the Box.
Angel --- installed that fancy sign to keep everyone from coming to the Ranch and asking directions to the Hassampa River & Box Canyon!
Glad you had a nice ride. I was stuck-under the fifth-wheel getting ready for a upcoming fish'n trip. Another great riding day I missed!
Did you have a snack at the Ranch House in Yarnell?

For some reason my camera was set to the smallest setting on picture size. I have not used this camera in a very long time. It has been adjusted for future RR's. I did not stop to eat, I wanted to give myself enough time to get home before my daughter got out of school. Is the food any good there? And thanks again for tips on the route. I did have one small hiccup that took me through a wash (couple of miles) that was not very fun with the way my bike is set up.
