The first group will head off first after SeanO then Ill lead off about 20mins later with the slower group. We will be taking the same route at this stage , SeanO and I will do a recce ride the week before to make sure tracks are suitable for all. (Also to make sure we know where the hell we are going ) So on the day it is up to the riders coming along to choose which pack to ride in based on your abilities etc... Either way we will end up at the same place and enjoy a cold beer or 2 many , tell rather tall stories and see things we probably wish we didn’t and hope that they don’t end up on the next Google image search then ride back the next day the way we came... 200km fuel range is approx all that’s needed and I’m sure there are plenty of big tanks on the ride that can help out if anyone gets stuck.. We will need 2 sweeps for the ride 1 for the first group and 1 for the second .

Some important info relating to any of these type of ADV rides to be read here – especially if you’ve not been on any ride like this previously or even if you have !!
A big thanks to B1 for preparing information like this and allowing us to link it up for all to read and to be aware of how these sort of rides work. So cheers B1 and Im sure to buy you a cold one at the pub

Before coming on any Snail Trail ride or similar you must read and agree to the disclaimer here. These are informal social rides with no central organiser or any person taking responsibility for others, and you come on these rides at your risk. You'll need a backup plan for any breakdowns, make sure someone can collect you and/or your bike if needed and bring at least a basic toolkit.

Please read about our corner-making system and general guidelines for the ride here, and a general guide to safety gear here.

That’s all for now until we belt out the recce ride
Cheers

They're all busted at the moment.

Looks like it is going to be the 25 and 26th of May.

Depending on dates, I might organise a Snail Trails group again.
Might team up with the AT enduro rider.

Dates? Whats the go there? I have done a few trips to the pub there for the pig on spit, love it. If I cannot ride, I would happily do the trip in the 4x4 and act as support vehicle!!!

Pig on the Spit night should be the 25th of May this year, last Saturday of each month.

Bit of previous ride and some nice video and photos.

well we gotta do it on the pig night so i reckon the 25th of may sounds like a corker of a plan.. i may even be able to line us up my back up wagon to carry the camping gear for the enduro bikes if needed

Days are a bit short and nights a bit cooler after then too Derek.

Better give them a ring first in case another large group are going there.

Just spoke with the boss there, two large groups already booked in on May 25th, no rooms left at all.

Last Saturday in April and last Saturday in June free of groups at this time.
