Another vote for the Subaru BRZ. It's a hot little car.

Honda S2000?

Miata - find a well cared for used one. Sink a few grand in aftermarket go-fast bits. Save $$$$ towards additional bikes & toys.

In sort of the same boat, I have been a car guy all my life, I currently have 3 cars that I just don't drive anymore... Opel GT, Triumph GT6, and 850 Fiat Spider....I find myself wanting AC, cup holders, all that crap that old farts want....I also find myself not really wanting to work on them anymore. But on the other hand I really don't want to get rid of them....the eat so little.

Thinking of a toy car that can go back and forth to work every day with AC in the summer, defrosters, and have all the things you want in a modern car.

I am thinking along these lines...I love the looks of my GT6 and this is pretty close to that style of car.

I've been living in my own personal mid-life crisis for close to 20 years now - LOL! If you can afford it, get a red Porsche, trust me on this one.

Just for weekend cruising, I've always had an eye for a karmann ghia

Don't see many of them on the road anymore around here.

You talking of the Ariel Atom? If so, this guy sells them. I met him at a track day a couple years back. His personal Atom was the fastest car on the track. This included cars that had raced in the Le Mans series. He was giving track rides to people, but unfortunately I did not have time. Everyone came back with a huge grin!
