Loading TET zip file onto Zumo 550?

I need a bit of help here. I know how to move info from Mapsource onto my Zumo 550, but I recently received the TET-S zip file (Thank you very much!), and I can't figure out how to open it, or how to send it to my Zumo. I've done some searching, tried everything I know, but still nothing.

I'm not a techie guru. What am I missing?

Post the file or a link to it so others can see what you are dealing with.
Sounds like you are on a PC, not a MAC.

Yes, it's a PC. Windows. I pasted the file onto my desktop (out of the zip), and it claims to send it to the gps, but I can't find it on the gps when I unplug from the USB. Usually the Zumo asks if I want to import the new file, but not this thing.

Well IMO it would help if others could see the file but based on my limited knowledge and old school approach you need a file that will open in MapSource, BaseCamp or another computer/GPS interfacing utility.

I don't think you are going to get there by dragging/dropping.

Whoever is supplying the file should have info as to format type.

When unzipped, the files are .gpx. You should be able to open them in mapsource and transfer. Careful on the route and waypoint limits of your gps, and do not allow mapsource or your gps to recalc those routes. Direct, or off-road, routing only.

Hey, thanks for the tips. While you were posting this, the tumblers were clicking. I've got it all loaded into the GPS. My zumo limits tracks to 200 waypoints per track, so I had to trim off a few. Hopefully I'm not gonna get eaten by wild animals this week.

Looking at the tracks on my mapsource, I have a whole new level of respect for the work it took to plot all those points. This is a serious labor for Chip.
