Removing Beak R1200GSA

Attempting to remove the front beak from a 08 R1200GS Adventure, I have ran into a snag. There appears to be two clips that hold beak Part #1 to a cover inside the fairing Part #5. Is there an easy way to release these clips without breaking some expensive plastic part?

Bro, easiest task ever. No clips really, but you do need to separate item 5 from the beak at the red circle. Just put your finger under the beak in that area and push the tiny tabs. This is a 10 min job max.

Hook your fingers under the black plastic trim piece and lift gently straight up from the beak. It just snaps in and out.

Thanks, it took a bit more force then I wanted to use but the Part #5 unsnapped from Part #1. I sure hate forcing plastic parts:)
