Yes, he is! Between Jimmy and Matt I feel like I improved a whole lot this trip. Thank you so much for a fun day.

I didn't take many pictures since I was mostly trying to keep my bike right-side-up for most of the trip. Here's a pics few from the Friday Goler Wash ride with Rob (rjnutt), Marcia & Sorry-I-forgot-your-name (aka "enduro elvis", aka Hotmamaandme).

Rob conquering the steps.

Marcia decided she didn't like her picture being taken and tried to roost me.

"Enduro Elvis" was just too fast for me to catch a shot of. Sorry man.

Marcia leading the charge further up the wash.

Rob showing us how it's done through a little rock garden.

Marcia contemplating a line. She ripped this whole ride while modestly claiming she was a noob.

Then she turned around and started taunting her coach.

Coming down Mengel Pass there were a couple more rocks. Marcia would not be deterred.

nice pics patrick and all. last year, mengel was smooth, and now back what it used to be.

good to see pics of the same ride but from different perspective. cool...

didn't get the chance to ride that route. one of my favorites. gsequoia and jrzguy almost made it that far until i caught up with them and asked the rogue riders to turn around.....

I gotta ride it next year in entirety! Without Joel chasing me down this time.

Saturday's Ride...Chloride Cliffs > Beatty, NV > Titus Canyon

The day started off with 11 riders. Stopped at the entry pass kiosk in Stovepipe Wells...

We had a mix of bikes including two gs800's - Paul, and Chu. These two riders did great and I hope this ride built some confidence in their skills and some faith in their machines.

Here's the gang coming up one of the first hill climbs...
Paul-

Greg:

Rob:

Chu:

Ersin:

Brian:

John:

After Chu's gs800 decided to take a dirt nap the sweep team (Ersin-FYYFF, John-rrugger, and Rob-KLRrob) offered Chu some dirt riding tips:

...and Chu cruises up the hill like a pro!

We made it to the Chloride Cliffs and enjoyed beauuutiful views of Death Valley. Most of the guys took advantage of the cell reception to check-in with their loved ones:

Rob and Greg:

Chu:

Jon:

illking:

We stopped in Beatty, NV for lunch at KC's Outpost Saloon and Eatery. Thanks, Jon!

Chu (headstaller) and John (rrugger) left Beatty ahead of the group to get a headstart on Titus. I caught up to Chu...here he is coming around the bend:

This vista never seizes to amaze me:

Damn! I failed to take pics IN Titus Canyon. Too much fun riding I guess.

Well, we took a nice relaxing break at the popular overhang towards the end of the canyon. From here we slabbed it back towards PSR for dinner and the BIG raffle. Cruising along the highway and all of a sudden the rest of the gang was no longer behind me. Paul got a flat just west of Stovepipe Wells during our ascent up Towne Pass. His tire was ridiculously HOT.

Paul changed the tube out pretty darn quick and we were on our way:

Paul and the gang pulled over at a turnout towards the top of the pass to inspect his rear tire. It had a "bump" in the tire while he would ride. He limped it back to camp and found out later the tire's carcass had gone bad. Something with the cord(s)/belt(s) coming apart within the tire. Once back at camp Lior from Lior's moto ride was able to provide Paul with a brand new TKC80. Thanks, Lior! Lior's Moto Ride

Many thanks to all the riders who joined us on this fun and scenic day. Til next year mi amigos!

As always, all my DVNR photos may be found HERE.
