Anyone had recent dealings with Epco Stainless, I ordered two Mufflers for my BMW airhead on the 2nd of january and paid $546 including freight to Australia he told me to give him two weeks for manufacture three months later I have not seen a thing and they do not answer any of my e-mails have I been dudded by this company? are they still in business? so if anyone is dealing with them I would be interested if you are getting reply's to e-mails etc.

They have a warp time. They have changed where the mufflers are made.

You will get them sooner or later. They are just slow.

If you want to get them moving.. ask for your money back.

It took me months to get replies from Epco.

And then I had to send the headers back, because they needed reshaping. A few months later, they came back better. Not perfect though.

Sheesh. Terrible service. ...Must have had to "smelt" the steel first.
Be patient for a few more months, they'll be on your bike and turning yellow before you know it.

Das Beast (1981 R100RS in GS drag) has Epco after I took off the "goofmeister" 2 into 1 that it was raced with at Daytona.

Big sound improvement and no performance difference. The fit was a little challenge, but nothing a rubber mallet and a trip or two to Lowes (for stainless bolts and nuts) couldn't solve.

They "blued" nicely. Big cheap improvement.

Haven't dealth with them in 2 years. I have a full epco system made to order, single crossover instead of diual, no thermostat crush,, sport glasspacks made to look like stock. it all showed up and fit fairly well. Needed to elongate the muffler mounting holes. Nicely finished. Jury still out on how corrosion resistant the headers are. I just refinished them but I didn't care for them well in the first place. Only beef is the mufflers cannot be repacked w/o cutting them open. Epco says packing is good for lifetime, I sez BS. We'll see.

This might be their busy season, people do work in the winter.

They ALWAYS take 4 times longer than they tell you. I've used 4 sets for various projects and learned to order these way out in front. Product is usually great but they operate in an alternative universe.

Used their "Sport" mufflers on a hot-rod 1050 motor and liked the results. Bought them used, so never had the pleasure of dealing with them directly, but found their product to be of a high quality standard.

Wanted to order a set for my 883 XLH. I asked via email several times about availability and delivery time, but they simply would not respond...period. STILL waiting for a reply, more than a year later. Why even bother to put the link on the website?

Really too bad, because I had a pretty good tax refund, and that money was earmarked for the Sportster. Would have loved to send it to Epco, but not if they can't even answer their emails.

Epco

I hear they are being bought out. Maybe the new owner will focus on customer service and delivery.
