Gas Tank for GS

Looking to purchase a plastic gas tank of about 71/2 Gallons for my 1989 R-100 GS. Any info would be appreciated.

The only plastic options out there are the 9 gallon GSPD tank from BMW (made by Elkamet, I believe) or the 11 gallon HPN tank (made by Acerbis). The GSPD tanks are pretty rare to find for sale and usually go for pretty nutty sums if you can find one. The HPN tanks are still available new, but also aren't cheap and would require modifying your seat to fit it. HPN is also notoriously difficult to do business with - really nice guys, but tough to communicate with and sloooooow to ship. If all you need is 1 more gallon, then I'd find a way to just carry an extra gallon when you need it.

Hi, can you post the ebay item number of the completed auction from last week? (not the metal tank) I just want to check it out before it goes away. Thanks!
