Love it.

You could almost change my name for yours. The story is so similar. Big difference is you did it. Lots of photographer that ride. Good luck.

Followed your signature and found this. Very nice work. I understand completely about clicking on a pic, just to get the same size pic. My wife and I have worked hard to try and get our customers as close to being able to touch the product through the computer as they can so they know what they are getting from us. I know that when I get to a site where the pics are clear, concise and from multiple locations, I am more apt to purchase from there.

showing off

Keep forgetting to update this thread- happened to have a box arrive during a client shoot the other day, and somehow the client stuff got pushed to the side. Man's got to have his priorities.

More seats and covers this week.

Here's a typical photographic exercise, one straight out of Commercial Photography Section 4 class- how to light a black object showing shape, form and texture.

Often, photographers assume that photographing a black object requires MORE light, or MORE exposure. You'll see this in portrait training videos- "when photographing dark-skinned subjects, open the aperture 1/2 to 2/3 stop to capture detail".

Hogwash.

Doing so makes a black person a gray person. Not a worthy goal.

Photographing dark objects and demonstrating shape, form and texture requires light of a particular nature- hard sources, specular sources that place little highlights on the texture, but allow the dark areas to render their appropriate tone.

Here's an example:

With a little adjusting, it will also work on a darker background:

Those seats are for a project Paul just completed for me. The end result is absolutely perfect and my client is 100% satisfied. What more could you possible want out of a service provider?

Paul, feel free to show a few more pics if you want. Again, thanks a million for the great work.

New work!

Had the privilege of working with Rottweiler Performance several weeks ago, and they just released their new lineup:
