Moving from US to UK, need to move the GS!

I'm moving in a month from US to Leeds. I've ridden all over the states, and now I want to ride all over UK and Europe. If you have any advice on how to move/ship it over, I would really appreciate it. Also, if you have advice on how to best integrate myself into the local riding culture or traffic laws, that would be great too. How do I register my GS locally, etc??

Hi Laban,
I don't know about shipping your GS, but for registration you need this place
If you pm me when your bike is up and running I will be happy to show you around the local area, I'm not far from Leeds (that's assuming your talking about Leeds, west yorks.)

Cheers Dave

I used this company to ship from the UK to Canada,

It is a ro-ro service which also operates to the US, it worked well for me but you might prefer a container shipment, you should find something about that by looking here

If you want to meet some motorcycle travel orientated people and are here in time you might try and get along to this,
If it's in the Touratech catalogue then you don't need it

Highly recommend Aladdin Frieght in Oakland

I've used Aladdin Freight in Oakland maybe 5 or 6 times, and they've always been extremely good, and very inexpensive.

They used to be something like $400 to ship a bike to Thamesport (London), but I think it's gone up a bit now.

I hope this helps.
