I might make it up for the Friday ride; not sure yet. I definitely will do the Sat and Sun rides. Dunno if I'll make it up early enough for breakfast though. That'd mean leaving Salem pretty early. :)

Rob, if your heading up from Salem Saturday morning let me know what time your leaving and maybe we can ride up together.

Later,
Ren

Oh cool! Sure, that'd be fun.

I may head up "the back way" -- basically Hwy 99E to Oregon City, then hit 205, but I dunno yet. Depends on the weather that weekend and how early I'm up. :)

Heck, since Saturday is the Coastal Range Ride, maybe we could hook up with them somewhere along the way instead and save a long ride in the wrong direction.

2013 NWOR ADV MT Hood Scout.

Started the scouting yesterday for the MT Hood Loop. We found snow around 3600'. So another month or so and it should all be gone.

I'm busy on that Sunday, but if you wanna Hood area scouting partner, lemme know.
I can make a weekday work with a week's notice.

Not into the long haul rides, just the one near home, and then just the dirty parts

I'm signed up and looking forward to it. Hoping to have more "tracks" and fewer road miles!

I'm coming down from the Seattle area and need a place to stay. Is there a campsite nearby you recommend? Or a cheap dive hotel?

Oxbow Regional Park is about 15-20 miles from the Gresham KTM Dealer. $15/tent

There is a dive Motel right across the street from the dealer, I can't remember the name.
Call Gresham KTM, they can look out the window to give you the name of it.
Good enough for a cheap place for $60/night when I stayed there.

My oil sending unit broke while doing a full service and valve check.
I picked up the bike waaay late near closing, rode it out to dinner,
...and didn't notice the BIG oil puddle until I came out after dinner.

Seemingly an honest potential error, or an accident of normal service.
They (Tod, long time mechanic) fixed me first thing the next day,
tore the airbox back off and found it between the V.
They charged me only $11 for the part and no labor.

Gresham KTM Rocks!! Always treated me right.....
