Wow. I thought it looked good in the press pics. It looks even better "in the flesh". I think it needs my KTM450SMR forks and a set of Penske triple clickers. Num num.

See, and I'm digging the tail light The modern LED sitting up on the old skool fender by itself looks really good to me.

I thought the same thing. It looks like there's a lot of potential there too.

I liked the tail light also and that the license plate is mounted on center not like a small plank hanging off one side as on the Iron

Does a 6 speed tranny just not sell in these types of bikes?

Does Star even have a 6 speed in other bikes?

Seems like it would be a no brainer to me.... obviously not

I had the same issue with the new CB1100. Just don't get it

This picture kinda shows how far out the air cleaner extends into where your leg wants to be. That was the only ergo thing that bugged me. ArmSC did it bother you?

I dig it....

...well done.

That's a good looking machine. You have to really be a hater to not like that.

I'm not a cruiser guy, but I could see owning this.

As for the six-speed, more is not automatically better. If the torque curve is right, then five gears works fine. I own a 750 Ducati Monster and it only has five gears and I've never felt it was lacking compared to my six-speed RC51 or six-speed V-Strom.

Cheers.

I wonder if the accessory one will be any better? They're not exactly the same. Could be a little lower profile.

My 2002 Magna needs a sixth something fierce. I changed out to a 17T sprocket to get the revs down on the hwy, but cost me a little "oomph" off the line.

The Bolt will be my 1st V Twin, so I'll have to get used to having torque as apposed to horsepower!

Looks like it's made by Fisher Price to me. The other thing I don't like is that drive belt cover

Frankly, it looks to me like a very poorly thought out and executed design. Cheaply made and styled,

I'll give you one thing KMC1, you're consistent. You always bring a big ol' ray of sunshine with you every time you post about the Bolt

One thing really stands out on the bike, the lack of a big YAMAHA on it like all their other bikes.
A friend had a vulcan, and I noticed the same thing, very small fine print said Kawasaki someplace.

Why can't they get the weight down a bit on these bikes?
Air cooled twin, why so darn heavy?
