Zumo 550 MapInstall question

So, I pulled a bonehead move and accidentally erased the maps that came pre-installed on my Zumo 550.

I wasn't worried though since those maps (City Select North America NT v7) are installed in BaseCamp.

So I fire up MapInstall and go to select City Select maps and lo and behold they're not there to choose! All other of my maps are there, but not the ones I want.

I can't figure out why they wouldn't be available to install when they're in BaseCamp.

Anybody know why this would be the case?

Thanks in advance

Basecamp allows you to see and use the maps on your gps when it's plugged into your computer. Perhaps that's the reason why you don't see the map in Basecamp now since it's no longer on your gps?

No, no. I can see the map in Basecamp, but it won't show up in Mapinstall.

Interesting.

That's a really old map. Maybe you should pony up for the latest City Navigator anyway? Shouldn't cost much more than $75 or so.

Yeah I agree. I bought the Zumo in 2008.

Really what I'd like to do is just sell this thing and buy a Montana.

Reckon anybody would want it without maps on it?

I'm sure you'd get something for it. i'd probably put it on eBay with a good description of the problem.

Do you still have your licence codes? I have old V7 discs around but the licences have all been used.

Yeah I think so. But I don't have the disc anymore, just a disk image.
