the mountains are open

thats the good news. took a little ride today in the white mouintains. its was 64 degrees at my house for a high according to my weather station. we haven't really had any snow since the first of december. we have had some really cold ass days but for the most part its been fricken warm.

so, i took a chance and ran up as far as i could via forest roads. I got about half way to greens peak before the ice mud combo got a little to swippery for a moto. those of you who have riden with me to greens peak know its pretty far up the mountain to have gone 30 miles on forest roads before having to turn back. I ain't lyin, it was a little hairy and some short distances in 2 feet of snow, but it was doable. another week of this warm weather and it just might open up all the way. i see later this week its not even going to get below freezing up here.

now, the bad news!!!!! NO, i didn't crash and break me or the moto. the bad news is, I don't know what you fuckers way down the hill are going to do for water this summer with no snow melt up here or over in flagg. its going to be a thirsty dam summer for u guys cause we are shutting the dam gates and keeping the water up here

no pictures were harmed or taken during this ride in order to preserve order and law in the white mountains. If you all new how nice it is up here, it would be mayhem.

Warmer

I am waiting on the warmer weather to make another trip to NM. That was such a blast and my scoot is running really good now.

I'm sure we will be getting thirsty sooner than you think.

Water flows downhill so we will be fine. It you fuckers at the high elevations that will be dry. Gravity is not just a good idea, it's the law.

Can't wait to start riding the north country. And western NM. I loves me some western NM.

When are you moving my bedroom back up the hill?

damm dams

the dams hold the water for us. but then again, unless we get snow, gravity won't help a bit-there ain't gonna be no runoff or snow melt fer da gravitee to work.

quick question! if there is no run off or snow melt which would require gravity to "work" or pull the water down the mountain, does that mean there will be "extra" gravity energy and create more pull to earth-meaning my bike won't be able to jump the jumps anymore. surely the energy has to go somewhere. come on u smartee pants engine ears and fizisist-I want an answer. for every action, there is an opposite action, rrrrrright!

It won't jump jumps because of all of the extra oil in the engine and the new hyperpower motor causes the wheel to dig in and get closer to the earth thus increasing the gravitational attraction. Try standing up.

I understood it clearly but then again i am a guiness

beer that is, black gold. I had to eliminate all previous brain inputs and -----o.k., o.k.. there wasn't much there in the first place and i didn't really understand the injunearing jargon, just pretended to understand cause i live in a pretend world where everything makes cents. There, does that make sents to you now?????

That's a mighty fine gesture uncle Mil but we wouldn't want you to scratch your truck.

I will continue my water conservation efforts and drink only whiskey on my white mountain journeys this summer.

Thats zactly what needs to happen-all consumable beverages come from out of state/country with no mix water. we must conserve our resources.

I like to think thats what Aldo Leopold would do!!!!!

Just nothing better than a campfire and a cup of loudmouth soup.
