That's what I thought you were referring to. I'll meet you guys up there then, I'm coming from the OC side. So I'll gladly lead the way.

crf250L.
If you ever want to hit a little dirt let me know. I don't have a plated bike, but I'd go ride some dirt roads with you. I'm just at the Intersection of Lake Elizabeth Rd and 25th west in Palmdale

Ok, so we're all on the same page...June 1st will be this ride, correct?

Myself and BrokenDownXR will come up from the OC (Santiago Canyon) side.

It'll be warm so everyone should carry water so you don't get dehydrated. Anyone with street-ish tires should make sure to pace themselves as some portions are a little rocky, but manageable if you pick a careful line.

If you choose to air down for the trail I have my mini compressor wired off of my bike and can help you air back up before hitting the slab.

Hey guys I have a ride planned that will fit the bill. Hopefully some of you can make it. It will be fun for all skill levels and the big dual sports are welcome too.

How long have you been riding?

The tiger with street tires is suitable only for smooth dirt roads, air down to 22-23lbs if you need traction. You need a way to air back up.

I'm sure it would make it over Santiago mountains but would be a challenge for a noob. The bike is heavy. New guy on one in DV this year broke his foot.

Hook up with Kalitrailrider, he's got a new one as well, experienced rider but new on road.

Not to 'jack the thread, but there are quite a few area XC owners here. Could be a meet up ride. We had four of us on the Carrizo-Pozo ride in Jan this year. The terrain got pretty challenging - mud, snow and ice, etc.

Thanks Browneye! Well, I've been riding about 14 years on road, but haven't been on a dirt bike since I was about 19. Avid mountain biker, but obviously the tiger is a tad heavier, haha. Anyway, I'd consider myself an experienced rider, but my off-road skills probably need refreshing. I'd feel pretty confident on fire roads.

Ah, you'll be fine then.
The Scorpion Trails work remarkably well off pavement, but any loose surfaces or wet and they don't have much bite.
I got a set of Fullbore USA M40/41 tires and they work much better for off pavement, surprisingly well on. Cheap too. Check 'em out.
Any serious dirt and TKC's are the ticket.
