Well I got a like new klx250s to have a little bike to play with in the dirtish stuff, until I get my huevos aired back up. Tiger is a great bike and loved it on "most" of the Carrizo plain ride (except the ice/mud were over my skill/desire level-thanks again,Chris for helping out on that slick uphill corner).
Will be going up on the 1st-assuming I don't fry my ass on the 1700 mile run this coming week thru Bryce, Zion,Kanab, Grand Canyon, Havasu, etc.

Last time up there, the Tigger decided to take a nap in the rock slide area just below the towers, so I'm taking the baby Kawalski this time, I've had enough broken bones to last a life time.

I think there will be a few of us going up from Maple Springs, but that may change and we may take Ortega and go up that way

I got a set of Fullbore USA M40/41 tires and they work much better for off pavement, surprisingly well on. Cheap too. Check 'em out.
Any serious dirt and TKC's are the ticket.
Excellent... I'll check those out for sure. I hope to join you guys!

Is the KLX making this trip?

Hope you write a ride report on this. Have a great trip!

Just so we're all clear, let's get a headcount on the 2 separate groups we have going. It sounds like there are some of you coming from the south. Maybe we can all meet up at Santiago Peak and then head down.

OC Side, going up the Maple Springs gate at 8am 6/1:

Try posting in Rowher Flats thread, you'll reach riders of all skill levels who like to ride in north Angeles NF on weekdays and weekends. PM me for your next ride, I like that area and can ride any day of the week (plated bike).

Here is the newest update for the ride on the 19th...

Hey everybody
let's go riding!! Sunday, meet here at Hutchins at 8:00 am. I'll bring the donuts again. Got a great ride planned, great scenery, Big Bear area. We'll ride approx 150 miles altogether, and be back around mid afternoon. Mild ride, big bikes will be comfortable, very little sand. Everybody will be able to ride easily. I can't wait to see all of you and go riding.

Sounds good, although you may have to wait up there a bit for us noobs. I'm hoping we'll be leaving Hell's kitchen no later than 9:45 ( meetup time is 9:30)

Not yet - that's a good idea

If you join the OC Beginner/Intermediate Off road group they keep a calendar of meetups and I'm cross posting there.
