That would be the Cleveland National Forest. Pretty tame stuff.

I might be in for Sunday's ride.

McKay has his website listed below your original post. Jimmy Lewis - you can google him - was a very successful racer and now a professional rider for ktm, honda and others. He's been teaching weekend classes for ? years and comes highly recommended from all of his students. If you want to improve your riding skills, he's your guy.

I'm down in Escondido and have ridden big adventure bikes off-road in Arizona and CA for a couple of years. I'm into easy/medium dirt and don't mind helping noobs out. If you guys make it down here, I'm in.

Viejas Grade and Boulder Creek Road in San Diego County are pretty easy.

I have a adventure bike and I would love to ride that kind of stuff! But...I just got out here and have 80/20 street tires on. I need something appropriate for the kind of terrain out here, which is not the Rocky Mounains. And advice would be greatly appreciated!

You can't go wrong with TKC80s. They're 50/50 tires.

I'm might join you guys on Sunday. I would be trucking my 250 over to hemet from the Pasadena area. Is there a safe spot to park my truck over there?

You guys think I'd be ok on this ride with the Tiger 800XC stock tires?

Shouldn't be too bad. I did the trail from OC to Corona on my Tenere with stock tires. I have K60s now and that made a huge difference. Just take it easy and air down a little and should be ok. I have a compressor that can run off of my bike for airing back up.

Here is the trail we did:

And this, too:

We're meeting at gas station - you might ask if they mind if you leave your truck there. It's on a major road.
