Possible Next Month Ride

Mick and I were discussing going over to the East next time as a possibility, so I quickly put together a map to Shaefer's Canal House in Chesapeake City MD.

https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid...ecbaa371&msa=0

Take a look and see if it fits the general guidelines.

Just walked in the door... Found the campground, couldn't find the tagroad around for a bit, then came home. It was a nice ride and a great RTE. The pie I picked up for Jodi was a cobbler by the time she got it.

BTW, if you go looking for the tag do not take Roller Rd. unless you want to do some DS riding

Looks pretty cool to me. Ride might be a bit long, but not overly so. First monday of next month is the 3rd - my girl is leaving for 2 months in europe on that date, so I might be a miss unless she's flown off already & I'm footlose & fancy free.

Hey, this the joint?

Yes that's the place. As to the length of ride, I understand. There are a couple of options to shorten it up, especially on time. As Mick said, the ride back could be on I-95 for those who want to make it back quickly. And the way the tolls are laid out, it would be free on the way back.

Pics!

Mm, root beer in a bell jar.

Fried dill pickle chips with Mick's busch in the background.

Baltimorons know how to eat.

Last but not least, the Glory Hole Pig!

The intrepid band.

Here's another possibility - https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=2...a=1,2&t=m&z=10

The Tidewater Grille in Havre de Grace, taking the long way to get there.

Hey Mick, I updated the tag post with a few tips. Sorry about that.

Bump!

Chances are higher & higher that I won't make the June RTE, but a decision still needs to be made.

Schaeffer's or the Tidewater?

Tidewater is probably a better fit from a length of ride perspective.
