thanks, but it doesn't do the mayhem justice. check this out. if you want to see EXACTLY what I'm talking about, watch this, pay CLOSE attention at the 1:13 mark because right then it switches to the EXACT moment in time I was capturing. they were coming hard through a crescent descending and then ascending turn which then presented them with a very steep hill which this video cannot do justice it was STEEP but the bottom line here is the intensity they came through that right hander with. All of them. don't try this at home it won't end well. I spent a good 15 minutes at this turn watching the 450 riders.

and the great part is the spectators were only 8-10 feet behind me they could get the whole experience. Budds Creek is to MX what Mecca is to Islam there is no other way to put it.

Rumor has it, Mookie is going to hire Aldon Baker to take his career to the next level.

"AB" as he's known only works with proven winners, thereby greatly minimizing his chances of failure. as they say, do the math.

What was the 'medical requirement' reason Tony fired Jake Canada?

as I said on Facebook...forget skyshot, gravity cavity, Larocco's leap (I've never seen that in person) The Big Gulp, and on and on and on.

Pictures can't show the degree of this hill but for these guys to jump out, up, and then descend down this downhill defies logic.

they jump out. up. and then start to descend to a downhill that is descending away from them at a very steep angle. and they freaking launch it.

truly beyond belief TV doesn't even BEGIN to show how gnarly this is. un fecking believable.

you start to (but I'm still not) get used to watching todays riders make adjustments to their flight plane while airborne. a stab at the back brake here, a twist of the throttle there (I alwasy get confused which does what in regards to dropping the front or back but it's freaking cool to watch) but on this bad boy a lot of times they had to make two mid flight adjustments it was in freaking sane.

Hitting the rear brake in the air drops the front of the bike down, throttle does the opposite.

I could watch them do that all day long. it's like a hydraulic lift or something. you see the foot move and the bike just responds it's so freaking cool.

so....Ryan Dowd, John's son, is making his pro debut at Southwick on Saturday, #716 on a 250.

they can make history if they both make the gate. probably making it anyway just being there.

Connecticuts Matt Hammer will be in his 3rd pro race on a 450 #527.

Southwick is his home track and he's looking to show them how it's done.

He seems like a pretty decent kid, religious, and can ride a freaking motocross bike to bring tears to your eyes but when there are 60 or 70 of them who fall into that category and they only take 40 on the gate things get serious.

He got 6th at the LCQ in Budds Creek, they take 4. Fingers crossed for him and all the northeast riders.
