point being that he's making pretty good money for fucking off he's not really "working for a living" when you compare what he does with people who bust their ass like a roofer.

clearer now?

Very smart move by them, if they can keep the motors cycling back through their shop for maintenance and rebuilds.

Give a top guy 6 bikes and a dozen motors, number and stamp everything, and keep control of the stuff to prevent any failures the public can see.

Set up a fleet manager position in the race shop to take care of the program, and even a well funded privateer can keep going for an entire season.

Point being that NO job requiring hard physical labor is a high paying job.

To earn the big bucks you have to be able to cause others to do something that brings in money, like winning a lot of MX races. There is no question EB is the difference between Villipoto and Dungey.

So... the KTMs have a higher maintenance requirement or have been getting more DNFs?
Maybe because Dungey has been the sole bearer of the flag in the 450s it seems that way. One break and 100% of the team DNFs.

I am looking forward to having a slew of orange bikes on the line. Haters will be haters.
Whodathought that KTM would even be viable in MX just a few short years ago??

DeCoster needs a serious raise and new long term contract!

Well, the green bike finished all the races.

I was referring to shitbox diesels in general with the reliability issues.

I guess until you see it you don't realize what the top teams are doing. at Budds Creek in the pits in the morning I saw one of Tomac's bikes being uncrated. It was basically a bike with no handlebars or front wheel bolted down to a metal shipping crate just like a new bike comes on. They just unbolt it, slap the bars and wheel on it and viola. This was Saturday morning so it would appear these things are just cycled back and forth and no doubt totally rebuilt and no doubt almost newer than a new bike for each race. That led me to realize that not only does for example the Geico team have a dozen or so support guys at the race there is probably a dozen more back home where ever they are based out of behind the scenes. God knows what all that costs when you factor in plane tickets, hotel rooms, salaries, meals, etc. in a sport that isn't exactly flush with cash compared to NASCAR or MotoGP where you can get 100,000 in attendance. It's a wonder they can afford all that. I used to not like seeing Geico in MX cos i hate the fucking lizard but I've come to realize they must be shelling out huge dollars to support the sport so I've come to tolerate them.

I still insure with State Farm though....

Red Sox's have pretty much stepped on the Yankee's throats the last 2 nights and asked them "who's your daddy"

Less sitting and kicking trying to start the thing. Kickstarters are a thing of the past and the japanese are too slow to react.

+ More KTMs on the line will mean more development, that will be good.
