Just got a DR650 and looking for people to ride with

Howdy,
As stated, I just bought a new to me DR650 and am intrested in finding riding partners. I live in the Boulder, CO area and am somewhat new to riding. However I used to ride mountain bikes quite a bit, and road dirt bikes as a kid. I mostly work at night so I can ride just about any day as long as I am back in town before 330. If you want to meetup and ride let me know. Also I would love to head out to the Frutia/Moab are soon.

Hey there...

There are a few meet ups this summer (RMAR, West Fest) that will be good for you to meet other like minded folks.

Occasionally folks post up rides, so try and join those.

Welcome!

Chris

With the name whiskeyandbikes (2 of my favorites) I'd be glad to ride with you. I'm in Loveland and looking for buddies to ride with. Actually looking to ride 4/13. PM me if you have days in mind.

My DR350 is itching to get out tomorrow (70-degrees! Finally!) Late-morning start to wear in some new rubber?

DR650 riding

The Santa Fe area is DR friendly. You can get some miles of both 2 and single track to get your leggs underneath you. Ride safe and enjoy

Check out the link in my signature for Colorado Dual Sport Riders. Easy way to meet people and get on some rides. Mark

KilLeR Kawasaki, thanks for the Colorado dual sport link, not sure why I hadn't found that in searches before.

Everyone else, I didn't get back here in time to ride this weekend, but next Sunday I will be down to ride all day or any day before 330. The weather looks questionable next week though.

You didn't find it because it is only about three weeks old. Don't be shy, start your own ride. We did the Switzerland Trail last week near Nederland. Great time. As you see, there was a little snow to navigate around.

I road Switzerland Trail solo last week. Man I was surprised by the amount of snow on the trail between Fourmile and Sugarloaf Rd. The north part of the trail was fun though.

I'm not from your area of the country but let me say welcome to the asylum, and welcome to the world of the DR650.

Also, congrats on the (+ or - a few hundred) 5,000 DR addicted best friends you just made on AdvRider!

Ride safe!

I am new to Adventure Rider but not new to the area or riding...I am planning to ride the trails as soon as the snow melts and the mud is solidifying (I hate both, you should too) and can be a tour-guide to any noobs to riding and/or the area.

PM me if you're interested. I believe most foothills trails will be ready to be ridden on in the next 2-3 weeks barring more snowfall.
