The LC riser R&D is complete after spending the weekend in Salem (MOA) with the Prototypes we designed. The prototypes were 2.25" in height, I have changed that to 2.125" for the final design. BMW chose to bump up the diameter of the stock clamps and handle bars to 1.25" diameter on the 2012 LC. It is NOT the same as previous GS1200 models which are 1-1/8" dia. or 7/8" dia. depending on the year and model. Hope that answers the questions being asked here.

We also have the solution for the cables. I have pics of what we did which will be in the instructions provided with the package. We did move the right side cables to the outside of the triple clamp. there is a factory placed zip tie hole on the shroud support on the right side that works perfectly for retaining the brake line and electrical lines running from the right handlebar controls. Zip ties were cut as far back on all cables (right and left controls) as we could. We loosed the clutch lever bracket and moved it inboard on the handle bar 1/8"-3/16" which gave us enough slack/play in the line to not have to move it outside the triple tree. I prefer that move anyways as I like to have my pointer and index finger resting in the elbow of the clutch lever vs the upper arm.

here is a 3D model of the final design coming off the machine centers this week. My hope NOW is to have product available in two weeks time. Thanks for your patience.

I have your block risers and think I'd like to reroute the cables. Can you PM me the new installation instructions?

I too have the 40mm block risers and initially rerouted both left and right cables. Last weekend though I reversed this for the clutch cable as it seems to pinch much less when the bars are all the way to the left. I did loosen and move the clutch mechanism on the handlebars inboard by ~1/4" though.

Rerouting the brake cable is a good idea though. You might call Chris at Rox for a quicker reply to your request.

ROX SPEED FX™ 2012 BMW LC 2" Pivoting riser

Hey all,
here is an update:
Lowering the Riser to 2.125" in the interest of cable slack (and for those NOT wanting to drop the right fork tube) we discovered the riser did not clear the stock cap and bolts when rotating more than 15 to 20 degrees toward the rider.
We developed a replacement cap to be used in place of the OEM cap to provide clearance. The pic below shows the detail. The stock bolts WILL be used with the new Rox Clearance cap. Risers will be ready to ship next week.

Anyone with an LC bike in the Northern MN area interested in stopping in at the Rox Facility?

Pivoting Rox Risers

Just purchased 2013 GS WC today, pick it up wednesday. Have looked all over the internet (and then some!) cannot find pivoting risers for 1 1/4" bars. Where do I get them?

New Risers

Just got mine today and put them on as soon as I could get them out of the package. They are nice! Much easier to deal with that the last ones I had on my 2010 GS. No more 8mm bolts that were damn near impossible to reach. Really nice finish. Everything 1st class... Well worth the money.

Thank you.
Just installed mine today, no problems with lines. Brake line, clear plastic coated stainless mesh, hugs the triple tree if you lock it to the left, but doesn't seem to be hurting anything.
