Finally received them and got them fitted

Well today I decided to fit the BajaDesigns Squadron LED's. on my 990R

Gotta say superb quality you get exactly what you pay for.

Only downside is the fitting instructions are backwards! They tell you to mount the LED's on brackets supplied to the fairing bolts then you find you've gotta take them off to remove the fairing! First thing you must do is bin the instructions.

The power wires could do with both being 2 inches longer but I managed.

The result:

That fairing has to be the best looking setup for the SE.

HDB must be busy. Not answering emails at mo.

This may have been asked or addressed before somewhere else, but it seems as though the light output from the leds would totally obscure the turn signals output. Thoughts?

Even if using them even on a dimmer, I'd think the turn signals would be overpowered by the leds.

Why thanks, I'm enjoying it so far.

As for HDB, be patient, Paul is a very busy man. He will eventually get back to you. He's a great dude, the wait will be worth it.
As for his fairing on the SE, well you will have to do some fabrication work on your own to make it work. HDB may eventually offer up a turn-key, bolt it up and go SE unit, unfortunately, he was unable to give a time frame on just when a Super Enduro system would be available.

This info is 6 wks old, things may have changed. Dont be afraid to buy his shield and try it on your own, meaning a custom set up that you dream up. Quality time with your scoot brings you closer.

If they are dimmed and spaced a decent distance from the lights, no problemo....at least for my rig.

LEDs - Work good in the fog as tested last weekend:

cant even look at them head on or you get spots on your cornea...ha.

Gotta wear sunglasses at night to look at them head on also....

The Duallys report 2600 lumens. baja designs report the squadrons at 3600 or 4300 lumens depending on which blurb you read.
Whats best ?
The reason they were rated at 3600 lumens is because the bulb we use is the Cree XML LED, Cree came out with a newer version of this LED which is the Cree XML2 and that bumps the lumens up to 4300. The Cree XML2 has been used in our Squadron for a couple months now
