Such a disappointment after Qatar.

Recap: Dominant performance by Marquez who patiently stalked Pedrosa from the start before making a close but clean pass at about 2/3 race distance. Pedrosa went right back after Marquez for a few laps before settling for second as the gap to Marquez widened over the last few laps. Lorenzo had a bad start, moved back up to third and maintained a three-second gap on the Hondas for rest of the race, never threatening. Crutchlow put in a very good ride to finish fourth. Ducati's decision to skip the COTA test paid dividends in new excuses. Neither Bradl or Bautista crashed.

Recap: (Rossi fanboi version) OMG Rossi 6th!!!!1111!! Other finishers not important.

The guy who finished 6th congratulates the winner.

Everyone get out your hats and shovels for the coming weeks as Marquez comparisons (The next Spencer! The next Rossi! The next Stoner! The next Doohan! The next Fergus Anderson!) rain down on the internet.

Did you see any races LAST year? Lol.
I think it was due to the track.
Jereth will be good.

I managed to see the last 6 laps at work last night. Very glad I saw the historic moment, when MM eclipsed Spencer to become the youngest winner of a MotoGP race. He has looked in total control the last two races. Very impressive for such a young guy

I am NOT calling him the next Rossi/Doohan etc, I am calling him the next great Champion.

It was sure fun to be there. Me and the lady had a blast. COTA is a cool place, even as new as it is. Looked way more than 60k people to me, but I'm used to seeing a 150k+ crowd at Nascar or NHRA. It was a good b-day present for my sweety, I'm just glad I got to tag along.

It sounds strange to say the 2nd place guy should hang up his helmet, but it sure seems that Marquez has Pedrosa's number, and Dani will be powerless against him.

Looked to me, on the replay, Lorenzo dogged the start because he started in second gear. WTF?

You're joking right? So when Stoner crashed following DP and Germany last year and crashed cuz he couldn't hang onto him that was Stoner's cue to call it a day? Seriously even Ben has finished higher than JLo............

Saw the race and it was ok...not exciting as Qatar in the least...was exacting to see MM first win and possibly a legend in the making. The track looks to be a first class facility,management/owners maybe not so much! Too much BS Now I can't wait fer Hairazz...bring it on!!!
