1150GS and 1150GSA Driveshafts

The part numbers on the fiche are different, but are they actually different? Are they interchangeable? Can I use a GS shaft on a GSA, and vice-versa? I've read a few threads about this but haven't seen this exact question answered.

If they are different, what's the difference?

The GSA one is keyed on the splines so it cannot be installed out of phase. As far as the actual length goes I am not sure if they are interchangeable.

Hey, thanks! You know, that might be all it is. I looked at this page on Anton's site and wondered why he doesn't show the A-B-C measurements for the GSA when he shows them for all the others. The only thing he says is "keyed". But then (light bulb!) maybe that's what he's trying to say--that the GSA is keyed and otherwise they're the same!

The one I got is keyed, so prolly GSA.

In case anybody stumbles on this thread sometime in the future, new shaft installed OK. So, yes, it seems that both shafts are the same size but the GSA shaft is keyed. Just guessing here, but I would think then that a regular GS shaft would install into a GSA but a GSA shaft will not install into a GS.
