well you know the saying NEVER LEAVE YOUR WING MAN well even if it costed you a tickit
it must have been the passing a cop on a curve over a double yellow line at speed thing that got us pulled over but he didn't look like a cop at the time but Gus convinced him we were sorry and he let us go

My Iron Butt journey
I am awake and not all that sore.
My worst pain? That would be my hands. The knuckles are swollen and red. My ass? Pretty & sore, yet I shouldn't go into that, I guess. The bike did as I expected for a Beemer, great. Not one issue with the bike unless the wish of 70 mpg never was realized, and that fact did create some stress. More on that later. First off I need to Thank Friar Mike for making this trip possible. Thank you Mike for being there, in fact you may have saved my life. Your being there was enough to keep me smiling and (most importantly) awake. Here is my "WingMan" who followed me right past that cop at well above the speed limit, on a blind curve across a double yellow line. The best part? More on that later.

I plan on telling the most significant parts of the story as time allows. And No I'm not the man, that would be Mikey. He paid his own way to keep me safe. He is the Man, in my eyes. And yes I will apply for the Bunburner/Iron Butt award. Butt I am not fully ready since it does take some paperwork and I am on here. I know silly me. |

I plan on doing the Dalton next summer with my bride on the back. I think my 30 hour adventure is noteable, for a shuda been 4 day trip. But I would like to take 4 days next time. Gusgus screwed with this post 07-18-2005 at 10:01 PM |
