helmet cheekpads

Alright,

So I have an HJC RPHA-10 helmet which fit great when I bought it. I'm in between sizes so I have to go with a medium, as the shell of a small would be to small, and a large would be too large. Anyways, the cheekpads have broken in now and I don't like it and I'm looking for a solution. Ironically, HJC does not manufacture cheek pads of a larger size so I'm looking for an idea.

The one I have is what if I have someone add more foam to it?

And I assume the suggestion of I should have tried on multiple brands is going to come so I'll answer it now. I don't have that opportunity where I live as there is only HJC and Shoei helmets(and that's not even local). The Shoei Qwest fits me almost perfect, but the foam irritates my face so I went with the next best thing.

Sounds like a good solution to me. I am surprised you asked but I suppose you are looking for other ideas too.

I have used gauze pads to snug up a loose helmet

If the pads are removable you can usually snug things up with some sticky back velcro or the thicker type of double sided tape placed underneath them.

As a neat little update, I've been growing out my beard and my helmet has interestingly started to fit a little better on the cheeks. I'll actually be shopping for a smaller size helmet soon as HelmetCity told me they'd work with me on the price. Best customer service I've ever found! Right up there with Amazon and Tippmann.
