I saw one a few days ago, ATL. Black Touratech. Parked nose to nose with a Triumph Tiger. In the calm of the evening I heard "Do these bags make my butt look fat?"

Looks great! I just ordered a Holan topbox and will be ordering the adventure rack (which it looks like you have) with topcase mount as well from Advmotorrad. I will want the side panniers eventually but I definitely need the topcase for my commute.

I dont trust the TT cylinder sliders much. Fitted only on two bolts and from the first +- small crash my friend had, I fear they're much LESS protective than on the 1150/1200.

I have them as well, but they will be more of a secondary line of defense. They look like they still provide a little protection, but I could see them getting bent up pretty easily. Still getting a pair of crash bars as my primary protection.

That sucks, but I am not going with the BMW ones, decided on the SW-Motech upper/lower set which should be available late May.

Thanks, you helped me spend a bit more money

I have installed the Hepco and Becker crash bars. Half the price of the BMW bars in Oz and in black I think they look less intrusive. If I could work out how to upload photos I would post a pic! Hoping someone can help me with that!?
Cheers

Would love to see a pic of these. I just ordered the SW Motech lower and upper bars in black. Based on prev experience I like SWM and think I prefer the way the lower bar looks and fits around the heads.

I will post up pics when I pickup the bike mid May.

Black Hepco and Becker bars! I think they go nicely with the Thunder Grey. Another pleasant surprise was that they are perfectly positioned to stretch the legs out on whilst riding.
