Maybe we can consider a destination meet-up. Folks ride to some spot with scenic value and bring a lunch perhaps.

Love you guys like brothers and sisters....don't want to picnic with ya, though. I'd like it held at a restaurant of choice...just me.

I was thinking more of an "also" kinda thing. You could stay home.

Well, I was talking of the "it" thing and you an "also" thing. I miss read your thing. I have to work on my social skills and that kinda ride could help, also.

Has anyone ever eaten at the farmer's daughter in Greeneville? It's probably the best home style food I've ever eaten, and it's about half way between Knoxville and the Tri-cities. Lots of fire roads and scenic trails around it too.

Hi Woesten and welcome to the forums and the best riding east of the Mississippi River. Hope you will grow in appreciation of the area as your confidence and skill in riding does. Once out of town there are fewer obstacles to contend with and the scenery just gets better and better...at least when headed for the mountains.

Anyway, welcome aboard.

I think at dinner the other night we went for the 3rd Saturday of the month going forward. We'll try that for a while and adjust some as daylight hours shift or we simply want to.

There's also the regular Bike Night at the Time Warp Tea Room on Tuesday nights. It's a great way to ogle some cool old bikes and BS with other local riders.

We ate in the Strawberry Plains area last time. Should we move toward Hamblen Co, or further West Knox, or maybe up or down 75 a little bit for variety for the next one?

The Blount County Sheriff's office has started a new website, dragonawareness.com tracking injury statistics and providing safety tips for the Gap. It's nice to see LEO efforts going to into awareness and safety.

How about Tellico Plains (Tellico Grains Bakery) for lunch? Nice riding to be had before and after.

That sounds cool. I won't be able to go play, but I can meet for lunch. Should we say 10:30-11 to make sure there is pizza left?

I'm in if I can get a pass from the boss. Maybe ride up on the Cherohala Skyway, or to Bald River Falls, also.

That would be Saturday August 16th 10:30-11:00 eta.

Tellico Grains is good for me! (5 doors down the street, LOL). However, pizza is served 11-3 (or 4), so 1030 is too early. They don't run out, I just saw like 2 PALLETS of flour being delivered today. I'd say bring your ADV bike and I'll lead a ride, or bring your "street" bike and I'll lead a ride on some stupid fun little backroads too.

Lets say eta of 11:30-12:00, then. Maybe beat the rush if there is any.

How about it y'all?

After lunch some could head to the popular spots like Bald River Falls, Indian Boundary Lake, Cherohala Skyway...etc. Some could ride scenic back roads, some trails and gravel and some turn and burn for home.
