Yep, it's currently posted and unlawful. Cyclists will take makers into their own hands. I wouldn't push them or we'll never be allowed back again.

Tales from East TN

Hiked Norris yesterday. They now have bright caution tape over the entrance. After hiking up hi-point I saw that they are truly doing trail maintenance. But really odd crappy trail maintenance.

Oh, I also noticed there was no weather related issues currently. Heck. The pond was nearly empty.

I'm coming from bristol around 8 in the morning toward Jeff co. Anyone for a meal or a hot beverage between the two?

Sorry for the late request.

Geez. It looks like they're about to pave it over. It's hardly a trail anymore. I face more challenging terrain going over the potholes by the engineering buildings on UT's campus.

Love the avatar pic, RunningMoto. I might be biased though.

Very nice. Makes me think that I should go get my bike really muddy so I have a better picture to use.

The engineering buildings have more cracks and potholes though. On the inside.

Map of the water shed. i've highlighted the only barriers that I saw while exploring up there over the weekend. Essentially they put one barrier up at the main entrance and left the rest completely unmarked.

There were two or three more 'roped' off a couple of weeks ago when the Mrs. and I were out for a spirited 5mph ride.

And, Kray, next time you're in the area with that Honda 500 you gotta let me know. I want to check it out!
