Metal noise from clutch
I am a total noob to mechanics and scooters/MC, I had to google the spamfilter word when creating an account, if that defines how much of a noob I am.
I bought a used Yamaha Jog R (2006) (2500 miles on it) and it runs very good but during the last couple of weeks it has made this vibrating metal noise, coming from the CVT system. I googled around a bit and understand some words, not sure if what I am using are the correct ones.
Because of my lack of knowledge I made a youtube video to make it all easier.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNJuTmz680o - You can hear the noise kick in at 0:14, it sounds like the noise is coming from the back, close to the rear wheel. From my understanding this is the clutch...
Hope you guys have some answers! Because I really don't feel safe riding this thing not knowing what it is. I asked a mechanic, his theory is that it is the CVT belt and if it is, it's not a big deal to drive around with...
Thank you in advance!
I started to love two-wheels and thinking about getting my MC lisence!
