Question Metal noise from clutch

I am a total noob to mechanics and scooters/MC, I had to google the spamfilter word when creating an account, if that defines how much of a noob I am.

I bought a used Yamaha Jog R (2006) (2500 miles on it) and it runs very good but during the last couple of weeks it has made this vibrating metal noise, coming from the CVT system. I googled around a bit and understand some words, not sure if what I am using are the correct ones.

Because of my lack of knowledge I made a youtube video to make it all easier. - You can hear the noise kick in at 0:14, it sounds like the noise is coming from the back, close to the rear wheel. From my understanding this is the clutch...

Hope you guys have some answers! Because I really don't feel safe riding this thing not knowing what it is. I asked a mechanic, his theory is that it is the CVT belt and if it is, it's not a big deal to drive around with...

Thank you in advance!
I started to love two-wheels and thinking about getting my MC lisence!

It's fine, run it. Been playing CVT's for 43 years.
Too much is just barely enough.....

Check the clutch shoes. They may be worn down to bare metal. The belt looks fine, and won't make that noise.
