Someone has built a barbecue Pitt with stone. A picnic table with stone as well. I met a couple that came up from the Bay Area in a Toyota Land Cruiser at this spot when I pulled up but they left. Hard to believe it's 90 degrees plus 5 miles from here but its about 60 here.

People have places out here in the middle of nowhere. Old cattle ranches. I'm guessing 6000 feet. If you want to be secluded this is a cool place

There is about 30 of these guys and four wheel drives. I pass them along time ago and came across them on the way back. On a motorcycle you can go about 5 times faster than a car. It was the Southern California Nissan Astaire Xterra group. Funny thing they're going to the same place I just went. Small world

All in all it went well. I am hooked. I see another side to my dirt bike riding with dual sport I can reach out and cover more ground it opens up more opportunities. Now I can spread the hours out on my 45o s and 300 s.
Now I need to lay out a run over to the Grand Canyon that'll be my next run probably. Thanks for checking out the ride report. I think I'm spot on the XR 600.
It really is a very capable an awesome bike. The way is laid out it likes this kind of work.
