Wow, pretty amazing!

Glad at least one finished, I'm sure they all did in spirit. Just taking it on the way they did is quite an accomplishment in my book.
Ride on guys.

Did only one bike have engine issues? Are the others still rideable?

$700 seems like a great price. I'd buy it if I were local.

Price is down to $400! He must want to go home. Some inmate needs to buy this.

Actually, I thought the ride concept was great and the ADV report of trip planning was great and very entertaining. However, I would have to differ with you on the comment that this was an excellent ride report. In my opinion it was the most disappointing TAT report I ever followed or attempted to follow hands down. Going to Facebook once the ride started was a major let down for those of us that wanted to follow this adventure and don't do the Facebook thing. In my opinion, if you don't plan on following through with reasonable updates on your ADV RR thread, don't even start one. I applaud the effort, all the riders who attempted this feat and especially the one rider who pushed on against the odds and actually made it. If there is a follow-up from Cycles East with a good after the fact report, I would love to read it.

For any who are interested

I meet up with Casey today and took the ct 90 off of his hands. Really enjoyed talking with him about the trip, on the way to drop him at the airport. So long story short., I have no need for the bike and plan to sell it. Have pmed rtwdoug who has showed interest and if he does not respond by Friday it will go to first buyer. Only purchased this to help get Casey on his way home. I also plan to ride the TAT, leaving Tellico late August. Figured karma would get me if I didn't do what I could!

Thanks Steve Lewis

Gear review on this trip

I would like to see a list of the gear packed along on this ride and a list of the gear that would be left at home if this ride were to be repeated again. I wonder how much the break downs were attributed to the bikes being overloaded and too much bulk or weight. This might help others who are considering the ride. The Trail 90 being a small bike might handle this ride in stock form with a much lighter load. On the other hand the riders might also suggest what mod's they did they consider absolutely necessary for anyone doing this ride on a Trail 90.
I too, was disappointed with the ride report being switched to facebook but do understand how that system would be easier to post on after a hard day's ride. I just wish they would have started and stuck to one system for the report. If the facebook system was necessary then they could have edited and organized the report better then posted it on ADV when they got done. I know it is very easy for us to be a Monday morning quarterback so while being thankful for the report, I make these suggestions only to help improve things a bit.
I admire these guys each and every one for the adventure they they went on and for sharing with us all.
